After a thorough inventory of the existing home, I create a personalized action plan, outlining the important steps needed to stay on course.

• Give the client a time frame during in which everything needs to be completed.
• Explain the 10 steps to a successful relocation. I give them a copy and review steps that apply to them.
• Determine what is needed in the new residence.
• If necessary, sort and organize their belongings.
• Supervise or pack and unpack belongings according to the client's need. They can sleep in their own bed the first or last night.
• Light cleaning where needed and/or arrange for a cleaning service.
• Recommend ways to dispose of unwanted items, such as through charitable donations. Help with a garage sale before the move, if needed, generating extra funds.
• Take pictures or videos of the home. Knowing where everything was previously, makes it easier to place items in the new home, especially the kitchen.
• Stay in contact with the client to ensure the 10 steps and personalized action plan are being used. Revisit the home if necessary.
• Be at the home on moving day. Supervise the boxes being labeled properly, making an inventory of all boxed items. This makes it easier on the receiving end in many ways, including identifying possible damages.
